Village and town battle maps
A village is the map a campaign returns to, which makes it worth more than a single encounter. These are drawn as a whole settlement seen from above: houses with their yards, a green or a square, the road in, the well, the barn, and the space between buildings where a night attack happens.
Running one at the table
The value of a village map is that it holds several fights. The same picture serves the arrival, the argument outside the inn and the burning barn at midnight, so these are drawn with enough distinct locations that you can point at one rather than describing it.
How big to make it
A small village fits 40 to 50 squares across. If you want a fight inside one specific building, an interior map at 20 squares will serve you better than zooming into this one.
What you can make
Pick one and RPGenie writes the map from it. This is not a library of 15 finished pictures: they are starting points, and the map you get is generated for your table.
